SAMPLE CODE field picker and other GUI examples in prodict
This Notebook entry provides general information about where to find
4GL code samples in Version 7 and 8.
The standard PROGRESS PROVision installation includes many source
modules which can be accessed by customers as needed. For example,
Customers frequently request a sample of a "field-picker" such as
that used by the UIB when defining a browser or query. There are
probably several examples in DLC/SRC, one of which is
DLC/SRC/PRODICT/GUI/_guipick.p. This uses two selection-lists:
one to pick from, the other containing the selected items.
There are also many sample procedures in the DLC/SRC/SAMPLES
directory. Some are similar to the Version 6 Procedure Library
examples that customers may have used previously. Others have been
supplied by PROGRESS Consultants as frequently-requested routines.
Technical Support does not directly support these source modules.
Customers can certainly copy them and modify them as desired, and
any assistance desired in this area can be provided by the Consulting
Services group.
