SYMPTOM(s):
After a period of time of inactivity, the appserver disconnects from the database.
Generating message "unable to start user validation algorithm".
Restarts appserver and the client can connect again.
CAUSE:
Appserver mode was set to State-Reset.
FIX:
Set appserver mode to stateless.
