SYMPTOM(s):
Codepage conversion from a big-5 codepage to a UTF-8 codepage fails on some characters.
CHR(63958) will not translate.
CAUSE:
The character 63958 (0xF9D6) is not part of the Big-5 table that is
supplied by the Unicode Consortium. Their table stops at 0xF9D5. The
resulting utf-8 value, 239,191,189, or 0xEFBFBD, or U+FFFD, is the
Unicode Replacement Character.
FIX:
The character 0xF9D6 is used in the Hong Kong Supplementary Character set, which will be supported in the 10.0a release by using codepage CP950-HKSCS.
