SYMPTOM(s):
Error 4406 with Client Networking installed when connecting to Database
This client is not licensed for remote connections. (4406)
Client Networking license details appear in Progress.cfg
Database and Client Networking installed on server
Client Networking installed properly on client
Using -H -S -N parameters for connection
Previous installation of Progress on the client machine
CAUSE:
Previous Progress installation was not uninstalled properly, and references to the prior installation still exist in the Registry
FIX:
The following steps will resolve the issue:
1) Uninstall current Progress installation.
2) Check for left-over files, specifically Progress.cfg
3) Follow manual uninstall procedures to remove left-over Progress registry entries
