SYMPTOM(s):
Progress running across network from file share running extremely slow
Progress run locally to file server machine runs at expected speed.
CAUSE:
Network routing of switches or devices on network layer may be causing abnormally long route to get to the machine.
FIX:
Verify the traceroute from client machine to server machine has not changed.
Use traceroute or tracert or similar package to identify how packets are travelling from client machine to server.
