FACT(s) (Environment):
UNIX
SYMPTOM(s):
Service Pack installation fails at 49%.
Installing subcomponent: 4GL Server (m)
Unknown File Error Code
Call Progress Technical Support.
CAUSE:
The _mprosrv was is in use on the system. The service pack installation can not overwrite a file that is currently in use on the system.
FIX:
All Progress executables must be shutdown prior to installation of the service pack.
To determine if a Progress process is running, use a " ps -ef " command to see if any of the Progress _ executables such as _mprosrv, _progres, _dbutil, _proutil etc. are running.
Stop the processes and restart the Service Pack installation process.
