Finding earliest or oldest known compatible op sys version
If a customer calls wanting to know what the earliest or oldest known
operating system is for a given release, direct the customer to the
Technical Bulletin for that release level (version 4, 5, or 6). This
bulletin includes a table of what the earliest supported operating
system was, and any later operating systems as well. The later
operating system version numbers appear in parentheses.
To identify what the recommended or current operating system is, or
where testing stands for upcoming vendor operating system upgrades,
see the MarketWatch Porting/Product Availability update in the
"Operating System Availability" section.
