SYMPTOM(s):
Progress 9.1D installation on UNIX fails with the error 'can't find file'.
The 9.1D product was downloaded from the Progress ESD (Electronic Software Distribution) web page.
The file downloaded is a tar file (156_00009.tar).
CAUSE:
The tar file was downloaded to a PC and then burnt to a CD.
Thus, the tar file's name was changed to 156_92~1.tar.
FIX:
Untar the downloaded file into a directory on the UNIX system. Navigate to a different directory (other than the directory where you untarred the downloaded file). Run the proinst command from the different directory (being sure to point to the directory where the installation files reside).
