Is it possible to use UNC name to connect to the database read only?

FIX:
Using UNC to connect to a database is not recommended by default, however if the the connection required to the Database is READ ONLY then UNC can be used.
To use UNC you must make sure the the relevant share/permissions exist for the user to connect to the resource where the Database is located.
