In general, both the Progress and Microsoft supplied ODBC drivers for MSSQL Server perform about the same. Progress Technical Support has received feedback from some customers stating that the Microsoft SQL Server ODBC driver has a better performance when reading records. However, Progress has not done any benchmark tests in regards to performance comparisons between the two ODBC drivers.
