GOAL:
New sysinfo utility for diagnosing and trouble shooting problems on SCO and UnixWare.
FIX:
The sysinfo utility on SCO and UnixWare has been enhanced to provide SCO technical support with additional information used for trouble shooting issues.
The modified sysinfo utility can be downloaded from ftp://ftpput.sco.com/tmp . The file name is: sysinfo.tar.Z . Once you ftp the file to your machine, you need to perform the following:
1) uncompress sysinfo.tar.Z
2) tar -xvf sysinfo.tar
The utility will overwrite the existing one in /etc as well as update several libraries. A listing of the files this utility will modify can be obtained by performing a tar -tvf sysinfo.tar . To become familiar with the options associated with this updated utility you can either review the man page (man sysinfo) or you can issue the command sysinfo -q.
