SYMPTOM(s):
Error 647 when trying to add a data extent or trying prostrct repair.
bkset: Extent <file-name> is below size -2147483648. (647)
bkset: Extent <file-name> is below size <file-size>. (647)
Adding data extent of size 2097120, results in extent of size 2097150 when looked at with prostrct list. Then trying to connect to the database results in 647.
Prostrct add or prostrct repair to add a data extent after the last variable extent has grown beyond 2GB results in error 647.
CAUSE:
Unknown, but Progress could not convert the variable extent to fixed.
FIX:
Restore from backup.
