Fails if it is even simple plain text.
Client is 9.1C.
The 9.1D Client can run against 9.1D Adaptor successfully.
CAUSE:
9.1C client is used agains 9.1D Adaptor.
FIX:
Replace 9.1C client with 9.1D client.
