Control codes and printing through Windows95

Printing with control codes in Progress' 4GL via Win95 will not work
with most printers. The defining element is unknown at this time.

According to a Progress customer, who contacted Microsoft directly,
using control codes with Microsoft's printer drivers will not work in
Windows 95. However, the same process *WILL* work in Windows NT 3.51.

The current workaround is to set up the printer in DOS mode. Then
send the Progress output to a file instead of a printer.
The final step is to copy the files contents to the LPT port via DOS.
Having done this, the file contents (including the control codes) will
be honored by the printer.

EXAMPLE 4GL STATEMENT: OUTPUT TO C:\filename.
OS-COMMAND SILENT type C:\filename.txt>LPTx.
