SYMPTOM(s):
Promon can't connect to database started with AdminServer
GPF occurs when promon tries to connect to database started with AdminServer
High CPU utilization by database server started with AdminServer when database relatively inactive.
CAUSE:
Client uninstalled and reinstalled Progress.
Tested sports2000 database and did not see the dramatically high CPU utilization nor was there a GPF (General Protection Fault) when trying to connect promon to database.
FIX:
Uninstall and Reinstall Progress.
It is possible that files for Progress are corrupt on your system.
