FACT(s) (Environment):
Windows 2000
FACT(s) (Environment):
Progress 8.3E
FACT(s) (Environment):
Windows NT 4.0
SYMPTOM(s):
Not Enough File Space When Installing on Windows
INSTALLATION ERROR (148): Out of disk space.
There are more than 4 GB space available.
CAUSE:
The error occurs because of the routine that calculates available disk space does not accurately handle very large numbers.
FIX:
Temporarily fill up part of the disk drive. You might copy c:\WINDOWS\*.* and subdirectories under that folder to the drive. Then the disk space calculation used in Progress' installation software will calculate the correct numbers. Installation will proceed correctly.
