Proinstall not found, can't execute, other errors ./proinsta
If a customer is receiving errors after issuing the "./proinstall"
command such as:
1. "proinstall" not found
2. ./proinstall: cannot execute
3. other errors
some reasons and/or solutions are:
1. The customer may have the wrong diskette mounted. Have the
try unmounting the diskette and restart with the install
diskette in the device drive.
2. The customer may not be logged in as root. Have the customer log
off the machine, log in as root, and begin the install from the
beginning.
3. Check to see if the customer is running an Operating System
version that is compatible with the software we sent him. If he
is not, check to see if there is another version of the software
that we can ship to him that IS compatible with his os version.
If not, he will have to upgrade to the os level we support.
4. There may be files missing from the install diskette. Send the
customer new media, and request that he send his "bad" media back
to you so it can be test installed here.
5. The "proinstall" executable may be corrupted. Send new media.
