FACT(s) (Environment):
Progress 9.x
SYMPTOM(s):
A typical install of Client Networking was chosen
Specified driver could not be loaded due to system "error 126" (MERANT 3.70 32-BIT PROGRESS)
CAUSE:
This particular dll is not part of the mandatory components that get installed when the Typical Installation option is accepted.
FIX:
Uninstall Progress and reinstall, selecting Complete as the type of installation.
this will make the installation install all the optional features which includes the ODBC product.
