Will I have any problems with my Webspeed configuration if I enter 'N' to question, 'Are you installing on the system where your Web Server is installed?'
GOAL:
Why am I asked the question 'Are you installing on the system where your Web Server is installed?' during installation of transaction server?
FACT(s) (Environment):
WebSpeed 3.x
FIX:
When Webspeed transaction server is being installed, the question 'Are you installing on the system where your Web Server is installed?' is asked, it is because messenger is a component to Webspeed transaction server, if the machine you are installing transaction server on also hosts webserver, you have option to copy the messenger script files to web server's scripts directory.
Since the WS broker and messenger are not tied together, the broker should have no problems starting if you choose to not to install the messenger on the same machine as your WS broker. By selecting "N" to question"Are you installing on the system where your WebServer is installed?", you will be routed directly over to the "Language Selection dialog box".
