GOAL:
Is there a recommanded check list to run regularly on the db?
FIX:
On a regular basis it is recommended to
-check the database logfile
-check the db-size
-check the system logs (Dr. Watson, Eventviewer etc...)
-dbanalys (to see performance in a long term)
We recommend the use of Fathom which is an excellent tool to monitor the db in all areas!
Above all is a backup strategy that covers all daily potential risc including checks of the backups themselves.
