Information pertaining to how to estimate the amount of memory used by
Progress on Unix shared memory systems, based on the executables as
well as startup parameters can be found in several places:
For Version 6:
1) Chapter 4 "Memory Usage and System Configuration" - V6 Unix

at startup time. (See also any related V6 Doc bulletins)
3) Chapter 5 - "Memory Usage" V6 Unix System Administration Seminar
This chapter discusses how to calculate estimated memory usage
based on executables and startup options.
For Version 7:
1) Chapter 4 "Memory Configuration" - V7 Unix Installation Notes

and also discusses other memory topics
2) Chapter 4 "Startup Parameters" - V7 System Administration Reference

Analyzing memory usage while the system running is the responsibility
of the System Administrator and is based on the OS tools available on
their system. They should refer to their OS vendor for specific
information regarding the use of these tools. If they are using 3rd
party system analysis tools, then they should refer to that 3rd party
providor.
