Migrate from Version 8.3x to Version 8.3E
FIX:
Version 8.3E was delivered in December 2001.
Version 8.3E contains all the bug fixed within patches of earlier 8.3x versions and it has been certified on most of the latest Operating Systems. (See Product Availability Guide)
The latest patch 8.3E03, as per June 2003, is solving database issues: problems when "-n" is reached and a shared memory problem when running on AIX 5.1.
Should you develop or change any application then you are strongly recommended to run 8.3E so that the probability for not hitting any bug is optimal. No bug fix can be provided with an earlier 8.3x release.
When upgrading to 8.3E from an earlier 8.3x version you should recompile all the application sources.
