Three-D Session Attribute and its affect on Alert Boxes
INTRODUCTION
============
This knowledgebase describes how the three-d session attribute affects
alert boxes and system dialog boxes and it also discusses its default.
DESCRIPTION
===========
The session three-d attribute applies to MS-Windows only. When it is
set to true, alert boxes and system dialog boxes are displayed in
three-dimensional format. This affects where the color of the alert
box or system dialog box comes from in the windows control panel color
settings. When session:three-d is true, it is the button face color.
When session:three-d is false, alert boxes and system dialog boxes
take on the window background color.
The session three-d attribute defaulted to false in PROGRESS Version
7. In PROGRESS Version 8, this attribute now defaults to true. This
changed because most applications are three-dimensional and Windows95
is only three-dimensional.
Note: This session attribute is not affected by the USE-3D-SIZE
setting in the progress.ini file.
