FACT(s) (Environment):
Fathom High Availability Replication 1.0A
SYMPTOM(s):
Replication Source Server Agent cannot connect to the Target database when started via Progress Explorer
No problems starting via the command line.
Target and source will synch if started via the command line.
Errors in the source database log file.
Connection failure for host <host> port 4501 transport TCP. (9407)
The Site Replication Server cannot connect to the database broker on <host> at the port 4501. (10396)
The connection attempt to the Site Replication Agent agent1 failed. (10397)
The Site Replication Server could not connect to any agents.
CAUSE:
Target database was not configured to start on port 4501 in Progress Explorer.
FIX:
In Progress Explorer to the following:
1) Under Target Database defaultConfiguration, right mouse click on defaultServerGroup.
2) Add 4501 for the Service Port Name or Port Number box.
