No installation errors; install completed
Not able to start Progress database
Progress configuration file missing from DLC directory
No 8.3E configuration file created
CHANGE:
Installed 8.3E on AIX in its own directory as 8.3D was loaded on system as well
CAUSE:
Progress requires AIX 5.1 patch 001 prior to installing 8.3E. The patch was not applied to the OS. Insuffient information to know if the lack of the patch caused the configuration file not to be created.
FIX:
Progress Technical Support created a configuration file based on control codes and serial numbers provided by customer.
