Changing Datatype of Calculated Field does not Change Data Format
When adding a calculated field in either Dynamics or standard AppBuilder, if the data type is changed from the default of character to a different data type then the data format remains for a character: x(8)
CAUSE:
In the AppBuilder Developer's Guide we do document this (4.7.1. Point 4. 'Change the data type and format, if necessary, to reflect the nature of the data'.
FIX:
Expected behavior - changes to data format should be done manually
