SYMPTOM(s):
The ASCII FTP mode was used to transfer encrypted code from Windows to UNIX.
Attempting to compile the relocated programs in UNIX.
** Unable to understand after -- "<string>". (247)
Same encrypted programs compile just fine on Windows.
CAUSE:
Bad transfer. Transferred program files seem to be corrupted.
FIX:
FTP the original encrypted programs over to UNIX using the binary mode.
