The core, procore and protrace files are stored in the directory where the failing process started from. For example, if one runs a client session off of a subdirectory of the working directory and Progress dies, then the generated trace file will end up in that subdirectory where the Progress client started from. The same is valid for the _mprosrv process (if it's the remote server that is crashing).
