SYMPTOM(s):
Server has -Mm parm <size> and client has <size>. They must match.(1150)
The report builder prl file has SPX hard coded in the file.
Code within 13957 solution will run the report from a procedure editor but does not allow us to open the reports through report builder.
CHANGE:
Progress was upgraded from 7.3E to 8.3E.
Network was changed from Novell SPX to Windows 2000 TCP network.
CAUSE:
The reports.prl file saves the connection parameters to the database.
Because, the reports.prl was saved against a SPX connection to the database the report client set the -Mm parameter to 512 the packet size for SPX.
FIX:
Launch Report Builder.
Choose Options, Preferences, and under Database Connections On Report Open, select Prompt always.
This will bring up the connection screen to enter in the new database connection parameters. After changing the parameters, save the report with the new database connection and after changing all the affected reports, the Database Connections on Report Open can be changed to Prompt when Necessary.
