Can an Oracle database and a Progress database co-exist on the same machine?
GOAL:
Can an Oracle and a Progress database run on the same machine at the same time?
GOAL:
Can an Oracle database work on the same server as where Progress database is installed?
FIX:
Yes. They are separate processes that do not interact with each other directly. There should be no problems with having both databases installed on the same server as long as you take in consideration for disk space and memory usage.
