GOAL:
What is the limit on file size for Probkup on disk ?
GOAL:
Can Probkup to disk create files bigger than 2Gb?
GOAL:
Can Probkup to disk take advantage of Large Files ?
FIX:
Starting from 9.1B, probkup can create files on disk that are larger than 2Gb, if large files are supported by the operating system and the file system to which the backup files are directed. Versions earlier than 9.1B will not create backup files larger than 2Gb. Please note, the Progress database does not have to be largefilesenabled in order to achieve this. The limitation of filesize is entirely filesystem or userlimit related.
Linux is an exception: on this platform, the 2Gb limit on probkup has been lifted only in OpenEdge 10 and later.
