SYMPTOM(s):
Enterprise Database with performance issue
Large database with hundreds of users attached both self-service and remote
Takes minutes to connect or disconnect from database
Performance bottleneck with TX locks held for long periods
-spin set to a large number
CAUSE:
CPU bottleneck caused by lower-priority process interrupting or blocking a higher-priority process from running.
FIX:
Use HP SCHED_NOAGE policy to prevent a process from having its priority degrade over the time the process runs
