SYMPTOM(s):
Machine lost power and database seemed to have reverted to several days earlier
CAUSE:
Client had some old scripts which upon reboot of the machine were starting the wrong database.
Since all connections to the database were remote this was not detected immediately.
FIX:
Verify on the server machine where the database is physically located.
Review the database log to verify the correct database is being started.
