FIX:

By using the InstallShield Silent process you may install to Unix or Windows more efficiently for multiple systems either local or distributed environment as long as all distributed machines have access to the media and your script files.

A normal (non-silent) installation receives the necessary information to determine installation location and other criteria by prompting and recording your input in each dialog box.
A silent installation does not prompt you for input. Rather, a silent installation reads user response information from a response file called setup.iss. Silent installation is only supported for Typical and Complete Installations. You cannot use this utility for a Custom Installation.

The InstallShield Silent (ISS) allows you to install Progress in silent or batch mode by recording user input information contained in a response (setup.iss) file.

NOTE: You must create a response file before running a silent or batch installation.

1) Create a Response file. You can produce this file either automatically (recommended method) by using the InstallShield Response (-r) command-line parameter or manually by editing a setup.iss file.
For more information on automatically creating a response file, see the "Creating the Response File Automatically" section of the Progress Installation Guide.
For more information on manually creating a response file, see the "Creating the Response File Manually" section of the Progress Installation Guide.

2) Play back the Silent Installation using the Silent (-s) command-line parameter. The InstallShield runs on its own without your intervention:
