PROBUILD link errors DECC$$ DECC$SHR on AXP VMS Ver 7.2E
Users on AXP-VMS (Digital Equipment Corporation Alpha processors
running Open-VMS) using Progress Ver 7.2E03, may see the
following errors if they do not have the DECC$SHR.EXE file which
corresponds with Ver6.1 OpenVMS or if they are running Ver1.5 OpenVMS
instead of 6.1 or if they don't have the DEC C sharable libraries
installed on their system.
Please note: It is possible that the DECC$SHR.EXE is not recent
enough even if they are running on 6.1. Check the date on this
file (dir/date) and make sure its recent. (It should at least have
a 1995 date on it.)
When running PROGRESS.EXE, they get error:
sharable image activation vector table mismatch on DECC$SHR
When executing the command procedure built during a PROBUILD,
they get link errors:
%LINK-W-NUDFSYMS, 2 undefined symbols:
%LINK-I-UDFSYM, DECC$$GA___CTYPET
%LINK-I-UDFSYM, DECC$$GL___CTYPEA
%LINK-W-USEUNDEF, undefined symbol DECC$$GL___CTYPEA
in module WITCXT file WISYS.OBJ
%LINK-W-USEUNDEF, undefined symbol DECC$$GA___CTYPET
in module WITCXT file WISYS.OBJ
These errors can be corrected by ensuring that the DEC C sharable
library is installed and that they are using a recent version.
