SYMPTOM(s):
Getting the following error when opening a window with an OCX on it
Error occurred while creating CONTROL-FRAME: CtrlFrame.
Error Performing inpage operation.
Error code: 0x800703e7 (5898)
**Unable to realize CONTROL-FRAME widget. (4025)
Errors only occur on terminal server
Local clients work properly
FACT(s) (Environment):
Citrix MetaFrame (for Windows 2000 Terminal Server)
Citrix MetaFrame (for Windows NT 4.0 Terminal Server)
Windows NT 4.0 Terminal Server Edition
OpenEdge 10.x
CAUSE:
Progress is installed on the Citrix machine via a Netsetup. This type of setup can result in device to device write errors.
FIX:
Install Progress directly on the Citrix machine. Running Progress from a Netsetup install on a Citrix\Metaframe or Terminal Server is not supported. Please reference chapter 3 of the Progress Installation and Configuration Guide.
