SYMPTOM(s):
Error starting the database server
Error: The -a parameter is only valid with rfutil -C roll forward
CAUSE:
-a as a startup parameter is for Version 8, single-volume databases only. Therefore it does not apply to Version 9.
In Version 9, the .db contains the location for all the extents, including the after-image extents, so there is no need to inform the server/single-user session where they are.
FIX:
Do not use the -a parameter for a Version 9 database.
