GOAL:
Can you have a function key event sent to Progress from JAVA using a Named Pipe, and then for Progress to execute that event.
FIX:
No.
It is suggested that if you wanted to perform something like the above, you would need to have the JAVA application send Progress a unique code that the Progress 4GL listener program (listening on the pipe) could interpret as somebody having pressed the appropriate function key. The Progress application could then told to perform a certain task.
