Missing pro.bat, mpro.bat, _progres.exe files from the Windows installation.
FACT(s) (Environment):
Windows
Progress 8.x
Progress 9.x
OpenEdge 10.x
CAUSE:
The Character Client product has not been installed.
FIX:
Version 8:
In Progress 8.x, the Character Client is a separate Progress product and has it's own serial number and control codes. You must uninstall and reinstall Progress to install the Character Client product.
Version 9 and OpenEdge 10:
In Progress 9.x and OpenEdge 10, the Character Client product is included within client licenses. However, it is only installed by default if you perform a complete install. If you perform a Typical installation then it is not installed, and if you perform a Custom installation then you must select to install the Character Client product.
