FACT(s) (Environment):

FACT(s) (Environment):

RedHat Linux 7.1

SYMPTOM(s):

Client dies calling SAX-READER:SAX-PARSE( ).

CAUSE:

Product limitation on RedHat.

FIX:

Validation for XML Does Not Work on RedHat 7.0 and 7.1
RN# 091D-00252
==============
Validation for XML using DOM does not work on Linux RedHat 7.0 and
Linux RedHat 7.1. In addition, XML using SAX does not work at all on
those operating systems.

Using X-DOCUMENT:LOAD with the validation parameter set to TRUE for
these two platforms causes an error that will kill the client process.
The workaround is to turn off validation for RH 7.0 and RH 7.1.

Calling the SAX-READER:SAX-PARSE or SAX-READER:SAX-PARSE-FIRST
methods, regardless of the setting for SAX-READER:VALIDATION-ENABLED,
will cause an error that will kill the client process under RedHat
Linux 7.0 or 7.1. There is no workaround for this; Progress' SAX
support does not work on these two operating systems.
