What are the fastload files in RESULTS ? .r's based on .qc
When RESULTS is used, several files are created based on the initial
contents of the .qc file, which contains configuration information
such as printers, colors, etc. These files are named res99999.r and
are generated in order to provide better startup performance for
subsequent RESULTS sessions. When these files are generated, a line
containing:
fastload="res00000.p"
is added to the .qc file. This fastload= line causes all the
res99999.r files to be loaded in place of all the data in the .qc
file which appears after this line. These files are re-generated
when the user chooses the Application Rebuild option and when
other changes are made thru the Administration Module.
When the .qc file is manually edited the user MUST delete all the
res99999.r files and remove the fastload line from the .qc file.
This will cause a re-gen of the fastload files to occur upon entry
to RESULTS. The then-current contents of the .qc
file will be used to re-gen the res99999.r files without the user
having to perform an Application Rebuild.
