GOAL:

Which AS/400 versions are supported with Progress/400 DataServer versions?

GOAL:

Which client versions are supported with Progress/400 DataServer versions?

GOAL:

Which networking versions are supported with Progress/400 DataServer versions?

FACT(s) (Environment):

Progress/400 DataServer
IBM AS/400 (CISC)
IBM AS/400 (RISC)

FIX:

This solution lists three compatibility tables regarding support for the Progress/400 DataServer and its compatibility with:

- Client and DataServer versions.
- DataServer and AS/400 Operating System versions.
- Network protocols.

xx = Configuration should work.
mr = Configuration is working and, because these are the current maintenance
releases, bugs will be addressed.

V2R3 Win3.xx until 7.3C 6.2M16
V3R1 V3R2 Win3.xx All 7.3Cxx/8.0Cxx
V3R1 V3R2 Win95/NT 8.1A and higher 8.0Cxx
V3R1 V3R2 AIX until 8.0A until 7.3C20
NOTE: LFP might not work in some network topologies, for example when the AS/400 is not in the same ring or segment than the client. Progress OpenEdge ODBC DataServer supports connecting to DB2 running on AS/400. This DataServer broker supports only OE clients. OE 10 ODBC DataServer broker does not support 9.1D client OE 10 client can not connect to 9.1D AS/400 broker, the functionality is taken out..
