V8 update from v7. UIB (or other tool) SE 2888 invalid ver
With the migration to both v8 and the new packaging, a customer may
not have chosen to upgrade all the components of their legacy v7
package. This can cause problems when customer's install the new
product on top of the existing product. Example below:
Customer has v7: 4gl, extended tools, debugger and client networking.
They update their license to v8 and only updated their 4gl license.
so they recieve: v8 4gl and ODBC driver.
After installing over their existing v7 package, they still have
extended tools files from v7 left.
When these legacy tools are run from v8, you will recieve the 2888
error message because the uib .r files have changed between versions.
If the customer's want to continue to use the extended tools, they
must contact Sales Admin (xfer them to x4218) for a new license
addendum.
