GOAL:
Can Progress 8.3A run in Windows 98 'Compatibility Mode' on Windows XP?
FIX:
Microsoft built 'Compatibility Mode' into XP. 'Compatibility Mode' allows you to run a program using the shell of the original program it was developed for.
The 'Compatibility Mode' feature of XP is not something that is tested for and so
is not certified nor supported.
Any problems encountered when using the Compatibility Mode would first need to be verified against a supported configuration. Progress recommend to use only supported Progress versions on Windows XP, this will therefore mean the 'Compatibility Mode' is not relevant.
