SYMPTOM(s):
Parameters passed between a 4GL and a C program through HLC calls are being truncated to 3000 characters.
CAUSE:
There is no formal documentation regarding the above parameter size limit. A 3000 bytes limit is per the remark made by the Progress developer Alex Herbstritt AHERBSTR at the end of Bug #: 20010629-005 report.
FIX:
Passing parameters between a 4GL and a C program through HLC API calls is subject to an internal buffer limit of 3000 bytes.
