WHAT TCP/IP WE SUPPORT FOR VMS CONNECTIONS: Not Wollongong
VAX/VMS MACHINES AND TCP/IP
----------------------------
We only support DEC's TCP/IP. It may be referred to as UCX.
We do not support Wollongong's TCP/IP; also known as WIN TCP.
In order to use TCP/IP a customized PROGRESS executable should
be built using probuild.
See Version 6 Documentation Bulletin VI for a complete list of
what is required (pg. FEAT-45).
The documentation is causing confusion to our customers because
it lists VMS-ULTRIX CONNECTION (UCX) and they are under the
impression that they need ULTRIX. They do not need Ultrix OS;
the UCX is the DEC's TCP/IP name.
