What process are counted for the use of -n?
FIX:
The -n is a database parameter that is use to determine the number of Progress users on the system.
If the -n is not set properly you might encounter the errors:
You have attempted to connect to a database with too many users connected to it. Retry the connection later, or increase -n on the server. (5291)
On Shared Memory systems, -n must be high enough to include local and remote connections as well as background writers (APWs, BIWs and AIWs), PROWDOG and PROMON.
