SYMPTOM(s):
An 8.3E probuild link script generates the following error using the Microsoft Visual Studio 6 C++ compiler:
unresolved symbol errors for __imp__wcslen referenced by dlc\probuild/ax/combj.lib
CAUSE:
Microsoft Visual Studio 6 was used to probuild a Progress executable
FIX:
Progress Software built version 8.3E using Microsoft Visual Studio C version 4.2b. The Microsoft Visual Studio 6 C++ compiler is not supported to probuild Progress 8.3E executables. Therefore, the 8.3E probuild utility requires that all executables be built using Microsoft Visual Studio C version 4.2b.
