GOAL:
PeerDirect: Is it a Prerequisite to install the ODBC Drivers under a specific directory inside the Progress installation directory?
FACT(s) (Environment):
Progress 9.1D
FACT(s) (Environment):
Windows NT 32 Intel/Windows 2000
FACT(s) (Environment):
Linux Intel
FIX:
Indeed, the DataDirect 4.1 Drivers for Progress Database need to be installed in certain directories for PeerDirect to be able to successfully connect to a Progress database.
The following are the correct locations on Win32 and Linux:
Win32
%DLC%\bin\odbc41
Linux
$DLC\odbc41
After you install the drivers on Linux - you need to run $PDInstallDir/pdre/tools/progress/ProODBC41 This will link
PeerDirect with the DataDirect odbc41 drivers.
( $PDInstallDir is where you have installed PeerDirect. )
