Can Fathom be configured to stop and restart a database dependent on error messages within the database log?
FACT(s) (Environment):
Fathom Management 2.x
FIX:
Fathom 2.0 has integrated PERL scripting support.
It is possible to define a complex operation as the task when Fathom sees specific error codes in the database log.
A PERL script would have to be written which sets the appropriate environment variables and issues the shutdown command for Progress then issues the startup commend for Progress and perhaps tests to verify that the database is running.
